The Hibby Foundation was launched in 2012 in memory of our beautiful old boy Hibberdene. He touched our lives in a way no other dog ever has. He came to Beagle Rescue Vic at the ripe old age of 12 ( you can read his full story here) and opened our eyes to the beauty of old beagles and special needs beagles and how they seem to always get overlooked in rescue.

Over the years Beagle Rescue Vic has seen many special cases that either stay in foster care forever, need extensive medical treatment or are just old and not-so-cute. These remarkable dogs stay with us for longer than the heathy, bouncy, cute, young beagles and need extra love and extra care and of course money to make their time here comfortable.

We hope to raise money to allow us to help these beagles and to raise awareness that just because they are not perfect, they still have enormous personalities and will enrich your life beyond belief, even if its just for a few short years like Hibby.
